Our work is based on a program of research, identification of good practices, and professional development workshops and tools designed to help oversight committees increase their effectiveness. We currently offer two types of programs. The first is geared to provincial and federal public accounts committees and the second is intended for municipal audit committees.

Parliamentary Oversight Program
Working in collaboration with Auditors General, our support enables parliamentarians to become familiar with their role and improve the effectiveness of their committees. Watch our short video to learn about oversight committees’ important role.
Municipal Oversight Program
CAAF supports municipalities by providing resources and capacity building for effective oversight of municipal auditing. We have carried out research to better understand what can make city councils and their audit committees effective in exercising their responsibilities.
